What is it made of? Can it replace any other follow-on formula?
Else is a plant-based follow-on formula for infants aged 6-12 months. It is made with >80% whole foods: buckwheat and almonds which provide plant-based protein (including essential amino acids), unsaturated fats, and carbs. The formula is enriched with vitamins, minerals, and omega 3 & 6 DHA & ARA.
Our formula meets the local Australian standards that set a strict recipe to meet the nutritional needs of babies at that age.
I’m considering using a formula for my baby, how do I choose which formula and how do I transition from another formula to the Else formula.
Breast milk is the gold standard for baby feeding. However, if you are considering giving your baby a formula and thinking which one is right, there are many things to consider. Itis advised to first speak with your healthcare professional before switching to formula, and they will advise which one to choose.

What makes Else special?
Else is an alternative to cow’s milk and soy-based formulas, made with >80 % minimally processed, whole food ingredients: almonds and buckwheat.
Full of goodness, with no added “nasties” like corn syrup solids, artificial flavours, colours, preservatives or GMOs, making it a real whole food, plant-based alternative to support healthy growth and development.
Should I test my child for allergies before I give this to them?
Whilst almonds are one of the foods allergens, it has a lower prevalence of allergy compared to cows milk or soy. Recent research has shown that early allergen introduction may reduce the risk for allergy among young infants. Else follow-on formula can be an appropriate form of early introduction. However, we always recommend discussing with your primary health care provider first, especially if baby is high allergy risk.
What is Clean Label certification, what does it mean?
Else products meet the uncompromising standards of the Clean Label Project Purity Award, a US national non-profit organization with the mission to bring truth and transparency to food and consumer product labeling. Clean Label Purity Award certified means this product has undergone rigorous independent testing to ensure it is safe from over 400 contaminants of concern e.g., heavy metals, pesticide residues, and plasticisers.
How many times a day can my child drink Else Follow-on-Formula ?
Our feeding guide is a general guide; your baby may need more or less than shown. We understand that every baby is different in size, growth, and appetite so amounts may vary for each baby.
Is Else Vegan?
Our products are suitable for vegan diet, they are not yet vegan-certified but they contain no animal-sourced ingredients.
How long can you use and store Else Follow on Formula after it has been prepared?
Prepared unused Else formula may be refrigerated up to 24 hours after preparation. Once the prepared formula has had contact with the baby's mouth, it should be consumed or discarded within an hour.
Can I warm it after it has been mixed and has been in the fridge?
Else Follow on Formula may be prepared in bulk and refrigerated in a closed container for up to 24 hours. You may warm one serving at a time in a clean feeding bottle and use within an hour.

Else Toddler is a plant-based complete nutrition drink for toddlers aged 1 year+. It is made with >90% whole foods: buckwheat, almonds, and tapioca, which provide plant-based protein (including essential amino acids), unsaturated fats, and gluten-free carbs. Enriched with essential vitamins, minerals and DHA.
What is the source of protein of Else Toddler formula?
The 2 sources of protein in Else Toddler are buckwheat and almonds. These two sources in combination provide high-quality plant-based protein sources including all nine essential amino acids.
How can Else Toddler be plant-based and still provide the fat profile needed for growth and development?
Else Toddler provides complete nutrition for ages 12 months+. Breast milk contains saturated fat and cholesterol, but these are considered non-essential as they can be made by the body. Certain types of fats, omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, cannot be made by the body and are ‘essential’ in the diet. The essential fatty acids are Linoleic Acid (LA, omega-6) and ALA (alpha-linolenic acid, omega-3), both of which are present in Else Toddler formula. The body can make all other omega-6 fats (ARA) and omega-3 fats (DHA, EPA) from the two essential fats LA and ALA. Else Toddler is also enriched with DHA from vegan sources.
What makes Else Toddler special?
Else Toddler is made with minimally processed, whole food ingredients: almonds, buckwheat, and tapioca. This is beneficial as it promotes natural nourishment and digestion due to the nutrients being located in whole foods.

What’s the difference between Else Toddler and regular almond milk?
Almond milk is made from almonds and filtered water. As such, it is low in calories, protein, and many micronutrients. The protein is not complete.
Else Toddler provides complete nutrition with all essential amino acids (building blocks of proteins) from the combination of buckwheat & almond butter, as well as micronutrient profile designed specifically for ages 1-3 years.

The Australian Dietary Guidelines recommends 1-1.5 servings of dairy products per day for a well-balanced, nutritionally complete diet of a toddler. The guidelines also recommend these dairy products to be from whole foods or minimally processed sources.
Else Toddler has a complete macro- and micronutrient profile, equivalent to aa dairy product serving. Ensuring that your child will receive all the essential nutrients that is found in dairy products. It is always best to consult with your healthcare professional for recommendations specific to your child’s nutrition needs.
Can Else Toddler be used in addition to other foods, breast milk etc.? How often should the product be used?
Just like a Toddler Formula, Else Toddler can be used daily or occasionally. It can be used alongside a balanced diet.
